OUR MISSION

What We Believe

The one true God, the Father almighty, creator of Heaven and Earth, who eternally exists in three persons in unity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We are one in Christ Jesus; we are blessed to be a blessing; we are global in our outlook; we are sent to reach the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ and His salvation for us.

We are called to share the blessings that we have received from God with the global community – next door and around the world.

We are the sent ones, who bring the message of God’s love for all people.

As disciples, students, we come together to learn what it means to be “in Christ:” to go out into the world on Jesus’ behalf.

There is one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.

We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

Past and Present

Formally organized on the 26th of October 1958, St. Andrew's owes its foundation to Rev. Raymond Carl Best.  It was on this day, St. Andrew's held it's first congregational gathering in Dover, DE.  Since then, the church continues to do God's work and spread His Word in our community and around the world.  St. Andrew's is a Lutheran church that holds on to traditional values, while looking ahead to the future.

PASTOR

As a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, I am blessed to serve our amazing God by preaching the Gospel, teaching the Word, and equipping the Saints. In other words, I get to tell people about Jesus, help them get to know God through the Bible, and prepare them to be servants who make a difference in the real world.  Read More
